Matching Tracksuits and Beach Champagne: A Fun Providence Engagement Weekend

Some couples book us for a few hours. Allegra and Andrew booked us for an adventure. When we landed on the East Coast for their engagement session, we spent two full days exploring city streets, fall colors, oceanside sunsets, champagne celebrations, and of course, matching Adidas tracksuits. But we will get to that.

The first morning we met up in Providence, where the historic charm just begs to be photographed. Cobblestone streets, elegant brick buildings, crisp fall leaves swirling around us, and endless architectural gems made the perfect backdrop. Then Allegra and Andrew walked up in matching black and white tracksuits like they were about to drop the hottest mixtape of 2025. We are talking synchronized zippers, coordinated stripes, the whole look. It was honestly iconic. If Adidas wants new brand ambassadors, we know a couple.

We wandered through quiet alleyways and bustling streets, stopping wherever the inspiration hit. Ivy covered walls, colorful stoops, archways that looked like they belonged in Europe, all wrapped up in that dreamy autumn glow. And between the poses and prompts, they bounced off each other with this effortless energy that made every frame feel alive. Providence never stood a chance.

On day two, we switched gears, trading sneakers for sand and city blocks for rolling waves. We road tripped to their favorite beach spots and watched them slip right into their element. Cozy blankets, salty air, and just enough wind to give us dramatic hair flip moments.

Then came the champagne. There is a fine art to popping bubbly on the beach. Angle away from the photographer, commit to the celebration, and be prepared to get sticky. Allegra and Andrew executed perfectly. Bystanders cheered. Seagulls judged. We clicked away laughing like old friends.

Spending an entire weekend together gave us the chance to slow down, explore, and capture the little in between moments. The hand squeezes, nose scrunches, and quiet smiles when the camera was not officially on. Those are the moments that make engagement sessions truly special.

We left the weekend with full hearts, sand in our shoes, and a gallery full of unforgettable memories. Allegra and Andrew, thank you for sharing your story with us. Cheers to the next adventure.

From Summit to Sound: Laura & Ethan’s Laid-Back, Love-Soaked Celebration at A-Basin

We’re kicking off something new. After years of photographing love stories in Colorado, we’re officially launching Salt & Summit Weddings—a fresh chapter for our wedding work as we make the move from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Northwest.

Our hearts are still very much in Colorado (and don’t worry, we’ll be back often!), but we’re feeling called toward the mossy forests, rocky coastlines, and vibrant communities of the PNW. We’re trading altitude for ocean air, and launching Salt & Summit as a way to keep doing what we love—capturing honest, story-driven wedding days—while planting new roots along the way.

So it feels fitting that our very first wedding under the Salt & Summit name was with a couple who also did things a little differently.

Laura & Ethan’s wedding wasn’t just a wedding—it was a celebration of everything they’ve grown together.

They weren’t just becoming husband and wife—they were also celebrating the beautiful, evolving shape of their family. Their new little one was wrapped up in love and passed from arm to arm throughout the day, a tiny reminder of the joy that comes from building life together in your own way and at your own pace.

As longtime skiers, Arapahoe Basin was the perfect venue choice. It’s a place they both feel rooted, a place that’s seen plenty of their shared memories. Honestly, if Ethan and Laura could’ve snuck in a run down the mountain, they probably would have. But instead, they spent the day soaking in the view, the people, and the moment—choosing presence over perfection at every turn.

What stood out most to us was the intentional ease of it all. It wasn’t a production. It wasn’t overly formal. It was a full-hearted gathering with their favorite people and the kind of love that doesn’t need a microphone to be heard.

There was laughter, there were quiet moments, and there was deep joy—not just for Laura and Ethan’s commitment to each other, but for this beautiful new chapter they’re stepping into as a family.

It was the perfect kickoff for Salt & Summit—a reminder that the kind of love stories we’re drawn to aren't always about grandeur or tradition, but about real connection, big feelings, and small beautiful moments.

Thank you, Laura & Ethan, for trusting us to be part of your day. We’ll carry it with us as we make our way west.
